Hi: Did you try to manually install the driver by clicking on your graphics adapter in the device manager. Click on update driver and browse to the graphics driver installation folder and try to load the driver that way. You need to go to the SWSETUP folder on your C drive and then to the actual graphics driver folder sp34710. If you still can't get it to work that way then you can try to modify an ATI desktop driver to work in Windows 7.

Hi I have just upgraded my laptop to Windows7 64bit. All windows updates have been installed. I have been able to find drivers for everything, most were installed automatically (HP do not have any win7 drivers for this model) The only prob is that ALL the usb2 ports are only working as usb1, every time I plug in a usb2 device I get the message that they could perform better if they were plugged into a usb2 port. The ports are usb2 and were recognised correctly under windows xp 32 bit. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling via device manager. Device manager shows under usb ATI I/O communications processor usb 1.1 ohci controller ATI I/O communications processor usb 1.1 ohci controller ATI I/O communications processor usb 2.0 ehci controller usb root hub usb root hub usb root hub Any one know how I can get these ports to be recognised correctly??? It's true that HP (Compaq) doesn't have any Windows 7 drivers for the NX6325, I just that to make sure. Before upgrading to Windows 7, did you run the and did you read the information regarding on HP website? You said you used Windows XP 32-bit before and have now upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit.
Why upgrade to a 64-bit from a 32-bit operating system? Do you have more than 3512 MB of memory?

I did not run the Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor because I was given this pc with no operating system or discs & the licence sticker on the base was unreadable. So I decided to buy Windows7 rather than buy a copy of xp or order some new restore discs from HP (all three options would have cost about the same). I only installed 64bit because I had it & I like a challenge. I have found & installed the ATI Radeon Catalyst drivers for this lappy, as advised.
The device manager still shows exactly the same entries, but I no longer get the usb speed error displaying when I insert a usb2 device, & transfer speeds are fast. Problem solved. Thanks again for your time & help.
