Hello Everyone, After a long, long absence caused when my gaming PC decided to cook it's PSU I am finally back in action with an entirely new PC and the chance to venture forth once more into the X Universe. But I've hit a bit of a snag and would be grateful for guidance.
X3 Editor 2 Tutorial
Specifically, I am trying to use 'X3 Editor 2' from Doubleshadow, to tweak the settings for ship classes. However, when I try to follow the process that used to work with the earlier 'X3 Editor', I get stuck. I have tried to revert to the older X3 Editor but I was unable to make it work at the first attempt. I think that might be a DLL problem that might be surmountable.

But I am not sure. So what I am looking for is a step-by-step how-to that would let me use 'X3 Editor 2' to make a basic profile mod for a ship - for example, to add a few extra missile classes to a specific type of craft. My original instructions are enclosed below, for reference, but no longer work. I would be very grateful to anyone who can point me to a useful how-to guide for 'X3 Editor 2' when working with X3 Reunion. Thanks in advance.
Existing but now broken Method 1. Launch X3 Mod Manager 2. Go to the Reunion installation folder and select the catalog file with the highest number, then use Mod Manager to open it 3. Find the file 'TShips.pck' in the 'types' folder 4. Highlight and extract the file into a new folder somewhere, with 'Preserve file Paths unchecked.
This should create a file called 'TShips.txt' 5. Launch X3 Editor and open the TShips.txt file 6. Edit the parameters of the target ship In my case, change the missile loadout of the Hyperion to use a full set of Argon missiles, for instance 7. Bob dylan desire torrent. Save and exit the Editor 8.
Re-Launch Mod-Manager and click on the 'New' button, to make a new catalog file 9. Add the TShips.txt file that has just been edited to this new catalog 10.
Put this text file in a 'types' folder, ensure that 'check compression filter' is selected and save the file - it will create the new mod. Put the new catalog files in the 'mods' folder of Reunion 12. Launch the game and specify 'Select Mod Package' to adopt the modded game. So, to the problems: 1. When I try to run the older Editor and Mod Manager files, I get run-time errors I need to dig out the specific codes. 2.

When I try to use 'X3 Editor 2', I am able to open a target catalog file, and edit /types/TShips.txt, but then what? There is no mechanism to allow me to export this file, and if I try to 'save as' it doesn't seem to work - I am unable to take a copy of the original file. Clearly I am being a numpty - nothing new there. If anyone would care to offer me advice as to a safe and simple way to edit Reunion eXtended ship stats using X3 Editor 2, I'd be immensely grateful!!!
Thanks in advance.
